General Secretary Xi delivered an important speech at the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone on October 14, emphasizing that "we must make full use of the major cooperation platform between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao to attract more young people from Hong Kong and Macao to study, work and live in the mainland, promote extensive exchanges, comprehensive exchanges and deep integration among young people from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and strengthen their cohesion with the motherland".

Recently, the Hong Kong Restart Alliance held a forum for young people from all walks of life in Hong Kong to learn from President Xi's important speech at the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. The forum was chaired by Tam Yiu-chung, member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Secretary-General of the Hong Kong Restart Alliance, and Chen Dong, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Economic Zone, was invited to attend and speak. Vice Chairman of the All-China Youth Federation Huo Qigang, Liang Hongzheng, as well as leaders of major youth groups in Hong Kong and youth representatives from all walks of life, a total of 27 people attended the forum. Calvin Choi, the National Specially Invited Vice Chairman of the China Association of Young Entrepreneurs and Chairman and President of AMTD Group, was also invited to attend and share his feelings.

Chen Dong, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, was invited to attend and speak. He said that President Xi once again specifically talked about Hong Kong youth in Shenzhen, which fully demonstrated the country's high attention to the development of Hong Kong youth and its heartfelt care and concern for Hong Kong youth. He encouraged Hong Kong youth to perform a wonderful life on the broad stage of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and hoped that all sectors of society would work together to build a platform and ladder for the development of Hong Kong youth, promote them to become "super connectors" connecting the world in the Greater Bay Area, and help them achieve their life dreams.

Calvin Choi shared his feelings. Calvin Choi said that General Secretary Xi and the Party Central Committee have always been concerned about Hong Kong youth and have high expectations for them. The country has created many development opportunities for Hong Kong youth, and the development and construction of the Greater Bay Area is a broad stage for Hong Kong youth to display their talents and ambitions. Hong Kong youth, especially Hong Kong young entrepreneurs, should give full play to their own advantages, learn and embrace the development opportunities of new technologies in the new era, actively integrate into the overall situation of national construction and development with innovative and creative thinking concepts and positive spirit, and realize the intersection and integration of personal career development with the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the Chinese dream.

At the symposium, the youth leaders expressed their opinions and suggestions on promoting Hong Kong youth to actively participate in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and enhancing the centripetal force of Hong Kong youth towards the motherland.
